I want to thank each and every one of you for visiting my blog this year. I was 10 shy of making my goal of 52 posts. That would have equated to one post each week. I have to say that I did well, though.
Why am I sharing this with you? Simply because I wasn’t going to do so. Then I thought, “This is just like weight loss. Why not share it with those who read my blog?” It is a lot like weight loss, and I’m sure many of you have either set a goal to lose weight this year, or set a goal last year to lose weight and did not achieve it. Maybe, you are even in both groups. This happens because the most important part is forgotten.
It is not about setting goals. It is not about reaching your goals. It is about doing the best you can, reflecting on what you have accomplished, reflecting on where you can improve, and then taking the next step forward.
I have found myself repeating the phrase “you live, you learn, and you grow,” a lot lately. This is a reminder to myself that no matter what happens, if I can learn from it and become better because of it then I have grown that much.
Give yourself credit, where credit is due. There is not an overnight “quick fix” for weight loss; it is a process that takes time and experimentation. What worked for your colleague may not work for you and vice verse. It is important that you remember weight loss is a process, but it can be done.
Take some time to discover what will truly work for you. If you need help discovering your best strategy for weight loss, you are in the right place. I feel so excited about this new year that I am offering my best one-to-one weight loss coaching package at half off. The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 2,500 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 42 trips to carry that many people.
